LanguageCert Usal esPro

Cursos Internacionales de la Universidad de Salamanca has partnered with LanguageCert for the delivery of Professional Spanish Language examinations worldwide.

The two organisations have joined forces to continue offering the Spanish BULATS tests (Business Language Testing Service) under the new name LanguageCert USAL esPro. The tests continue to be developed by Cursos Internacionales de la Universidad de Salamanca, however they are administered through a new online platform provided by LanguageCert’s mother organisation, PeopleCert.

LanguageCert USAL esPro tests have been designed and abide by the most rigorous quality and reliability standards and is mapped to the CEFR. They aim to evaluate the language skills level of candidates who need to use Spanish for professional purposes.  

 

LanguageCert USAL esPro Tests

LanguageCert USAL esPro offers the following three tests to cover all four language skills:

  • LanguageCert USAL esPro Listening and Reading

  • LanguageCert USAL esPro Writing

  • LanguageCert USAL esPro Speaking

Candidates may take the above tests in any combination to meet their specific needs. The tests include a series of tasks that evaluate candidates’ ability to use Spanish in a way to develop the broad field of skills needed for effective communication in different contexts.

All candidates take the same test, regardless of their language proficiency and they receive a Certificate from A1 to C2 level depending on their performance.

Who are the LanguageCert USAL esPro Tests intended for?

​

  • Non-native speakers of Spanish worldwide wanting to provide documented evidence of their knowledge of Spanish, 

       for employment

  • People who need proof of their Spanish language skills for their everyday or working life 

  • Students attending business courses in Spanish language, where a proof of knowledge of Spanish is required

  • Learners who require externally recognised certification of their command of the Spanish language at work place

 

What makes the LanguageCert USAL esPro Tests different?

  • Candidates are awarded a Certificate mapped to the CEFR according to their performance

  • All candidates receive electronically a Test Report with their overall score, as well as their separate scores for every language skill examined

  • The Tests are candidate-friendly, requiring little specific preparation, with an average duration of about 2 hours for the Listening and Reading Test, 45 minutes for the Writing Test and 15 minutes for the Speaking Test

  • The Tests are available both in Paper-based and Computer-based versions

  • The Tests do not require any previous business experience
